Meals And Wheels

Mission:
Meals & Wheels delivers meals and other services to clients who are unable to provide for themselves.
Volunteer Duties:
Dishing up meals, delivering meals, and participating in group activities, Pet Food Program, Groceries to Go Program and Handyman Program
Volunteer Requirements:
Volunteers must complete an application and pass a background check. For some Meals & Wheels programs, volunteers need a valid driver’s license and car insurance.
Training:
Provided on-site
Time Commitment:
A variety of time commitments are available to fit into your schedule. These can range from once a month to deliver pet food, twice a month to pick up groceries, an hour a week for meal deliveries, etc.
Group Volunteering:
There are a number of opportunities for groups, including doing deep cleaning of clients’ homes, helping with special mailings to raise money and emergency meal packaging.
Recommended For:
Students in the fields of nursing, education, human services, and others
Benefits:
Volunteers can make connections with others in the Waco community and form long-lasting relationships.
